Artichoke and Almond Start-mustard dip


  • 2 artichokes⠀
  • 1 lemon⠀
  • 2 tsp coarse mustard⠀
  • 5 tbsp Almond Start⠀
  • ½ lime, juice⠀
  • 3 tbsp orange juice⠀
  • Sea salt⠀
  • Black pepper ⠀
  • Extra-virgin olive oil


  1. Put a stockpot with water on the stove and bring to a boil.
  2. Remove and pull off any smaller petals towards the base and on the stem of the artichoke.
  3. Cut off excess stem, leaving up to an inch on each artichoke.
  4. Cut the lemon in half and rub it over the part of the artichoke where petals were removed, then squeeze the rest of the juice into the boiling water.
  5. Add the artichokes and let them boil for around 30 minutes.
  6. Mix together in a bowl the mustard, Almond Start, lime- and orange juice.
  7. Add some salt and black pepper to taste.
